Artist statement

In my art I strive to show the depth of the depicted object – whether it is my own home, a still life, a city street, a portrait or a landscape. I try to fully understand the essence of that phenomenon, to carefully look into the soul of the person or the object and not disturb anything. I think this is possible when you are sensitive to the environment, ready to participate in it and experience its states.

For me, art is a search and a sense of oneself. Every person is able to feel many shades of the life around us. My goal is to capture these sensations and discard all the stereotyped patterns of behavior and feeling. I believe in the importance of finding, revealing and expressing ourselves, our individuality as human beings. The deeper we go into this process, the more we fill the life around us and determine its form and essence, and the more our life shapes and fills us up in response.
